Frequently Asked Questions

  • Many people consider therapy when something feels off, overwhelming, or harder to manage alone—even if they can’t fully put it into words. Therapy can be helpful whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, recovery, or simply feeling stuck and wanting clarity or change.

  • Sessions are structured but flexible, offering space for reflection, insight, and practical problem-solving. Therapy is not about giving advice or quick fixes, but about developing greater clarity, emotional stability, and direction over time.

  • My approach to therapy is collaborative, practical, and grounded. I work with clients to better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns, while developing a healthier inner dialogue and a more supportive relationship with themselves and the world around them. Sessions also focus on building emotional stability, clearer decision-making, and meaningful change at a pace that feels realistic and sustainable.

  • A treatment plan is a personalized roadmap for therapy. It outlines your goals, strategies, and steps to address the challenges you want to work on. Importantly, your treatment plan is collaborative—I work with you to set goals, review progress, and adjust the plan as needed so it fits your needs, values, and pace of change.

  • Yes. All sessions are conducted virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform for clients located in California. Telehealth allows for flexibility and consistency while maintaining the same quality of care as in-person therapy.

  • Each therapy session is 50 minutes long. Most clients begin with weekly sessions, which provides consistency and support as they work toward their goals. As progress is made and changes occur, the frequency of sessions may occasionally be adjusted to every other week or simply as needed, based on the client’s treatment plan and ongoing progress.

  • I focus on creating a steady, grounded space for real change rather than quick fixes. My approach emphasizes building a healthier inner dialogue, strengthening one’s relationship with self and others, and developing practical tools that support lasting growth at a realistic pace. In addition to my clinical training, my work is shaped by personal experience navigating mental health challenges, reinforcing my belief in a thoughtful, steady approach to meaningful change that meets each client or family where they are at.

  • It’s common to start therapy without a clear agenda. Part of the early work is identifying patterns, concerns, and goals at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.
